Amplify LatinX is set to host the inaugural ALX100 Awards in September at the Boston Public Library, recognizing 100 Hispanic leaders across various Massachusetts industries. The event aims to spotlight individuals making significant contributions, with attendees including business professionals, healthcare, biotechnology, and education leaders, along with elected officials. Governor Maura Healey and Mayor Michelle Wu are honorary chairs for the event. Amplify LatinX, reflecting the state’s growing Hispanic population, advocates for small businesses, civic engagement, and economic opportunities. The ALX100 winners, selected from over 300 nominations, will be announced the day after the September 14 ceremony. The organization plans to inspire the next generation of leaders through subsequent events, including a heritage night at the Museum of Fine Arts and a statewide tour featuring banners bearing the names of the ALX100 Award winners.
