Governor Maura Healey Signs Most Ambitious Legislation to Address Housing Costs in State History

Today, Governor Healey signed the Affordable Homes Act into law, addressing the significant challenge of housing costs in our state. At Amplify LatinX, we know that housing affordability is a major concern for Latinos, who comprise nearly a fifth of Massachusetts’ population.

We applaud the signing of the Affordable Homes Act and look forward to continuing our collaboration with the Governor’s office, our legislative partners, and the Latino community. Together, we support further measures to close equity gaps, enhance Latino prosperity, and ensure that Massachusetts becomes a more equitable and economically competitive place where everyone can thrive.
